Cordillera Huayhuash trek 2021, travelling in times of COVID-19

This season due to the problem caused by the coronavirus, we will preferably organize trekking tours for private groups, to form what we know as 'the social bubble', thereby providing a safer experience.

During the quarantine months we have implemented plans and protocols; we have developed courses and training workshops on biosafety issues for our team (Guides, Cooks, Arrieros and Assistants); and acquired disinfection and communication equipment for these times. We are already back, Let's Start Planning Your Next Adventure, Contact us!

For the time being, for this season only the short hiking circuits are enabled, the 4 and 7 day treks; the longer circuits (8, 10 and 12 day), will only be available from August. You can check the availability of the trekking circuits for this season at this link: Trekking season 2021.

As the Cordillera Huayhuash is located in the territories of 7 peasant communities, some of them have their own visitor guides. On the west side of the mountain range, which belongs to the peasant community of Llámac, where most of the trekking circuits begin and end, for this season they have decided that all tourists who visit their territories (Cuartelwain, Rondoy and Jahuacocha camps), they must to visit only contracting a travel agency, authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, the list of accredited travel agencies can be found in the National Directory of Tourism Service Providers of Peru.
